The Team | Our Story
As the marketing director, Sally managed the coordination of all moves for the residents moving in to the community. She found movers, in general, to be somewhat unreliable and insensitive to the special needs of seniors. On one occasion, a resident was scheduled to make a move into the facility and her movers did not show up. The elderly woman was extremely upset because the move needed to take place on that day. Patrick happened to be off of work that day and sprung into action by renting a truck to help the woman move and get settled in to her new apartment. At the end of the move, the resident and her family were in tears with gratitude and said it was the best moving experience they ever had. Sally realized that her husband’s strong back and sensitive demeanor might be a great asset to seniors throughout the valley who rely heavily on the integrity and dependability of a mover.
That was more than 18 years and thousands of moves ago. Though we’ve expanded to include not just senior moves but residential and commercial moves as well, we are still humbly serving people of all ages and walks of life as Graciously as we did on that very first move.

Grace Moving Company is excited to announce we are now an interstate agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving! We’re excited to represent this brand that has been an industry leader since its foundation more than 75 years ago. From the van line’s very first move in 1945 – which began in Canton, Ohio, and ended in Constantine, Mich. – Wheaton was committed to quality. The van line started out with an original authority for 22 states in the eastern United States; then, as it expanded to offer moving services to the rest of the country in the 1950s, the name became Wheaton Van Lines, Inc. In 1973, Wheaton became the first carrier in the nation to hold complete 50-state authority from the Interstate Commerce Commission.
Wheaton’s agent network continued to grow, and the van line adopted its Employee Stock Ownership Program, which plays a big role in the excellent customer service our customers will receive by ensuring all Wheaton employees are invested in the outcomes of our customers’ interstate moves. That is why we are proud partners of Move for Hunger, a national nonprofit that turns the moving process into an opportunity to fight hunger in our local communities.
When families move, they often have non perishable food they do not plan to take with them. Instead of letting that food go to waste, our team collects it and delivers it directly to local food banks and pantries across the Central Valley, including Modesto, Tracy, Sonora, Clovis, and Fresno. Every donation helps feed children, seniors, and families in need right here at home.
